Welcome to this beautiful Tuscan Relais & Spa. Enjoy a 5 night Deluxe cooking, wine & spa experience and 3 Days in Florence! The Relais’ cooking school offers one day cooking classes, a series of classes, or cooking vacations & fun! The classes celebrate traditional Tuscan recipes and are taught by their leading chef, owner of the Relais. You will learn to cook authentic Tuscan cuisine in our home-style kitchen. Following your cooking class you will enjoy a sit down dinner in our charming dining room, in which you will enjoy the food you have prepared. When you walk through the main entrance of the kitchen, you are welcomed by a homey environment. We carefully designed the cooking facilities to have the warm feel avoiding stainless steel restaurant style kitchens and cookery schools. We want you to feel relaxed and at home. Our courses are designed around a relaxed, and fun setting for you to bring home and do in your own kitchen when entertaining friends and family. Our classes are from 2 to 12 people. Our aim is to inspire you and send you home with new and exciting recipes whilst at the same time giving you time to cook with like-minded people. It doesn’t matter what level you are, just come along and enjoy the experience! You’ll learn how to make delicious bread, pasta, stress free main courses, impressive starters and tempting desserts.

DAY 1:

Private Arrival Transfer from Florence airport to the Tuscan Relais. Welcome cocktail around with the leading chef and your hosts. The aperitif will be followed by a delicious gourmet dinner “a la Carte” in our 1 Michelin Star Restaurant, paired with our wines.

DAY 2:

Breakfast, and ready for the 1st cooking lesson “Amusing cooking with a bit of fantasy”. Following your cooking class you will enjoy a seated, served lunch in our charming dining room, in which we will enjoy the food you have prepared. Afternoon Spa “Wine therapy” experience. Dinner on your own.

DAY 3:

Are you ready to discover Cortona and its enchanting surroundings? A guided sightseeing tour, visiting the Etruscan Academy Museum. Lunch break in a typical tavern. Back to the Relais in time for the second Cooking class “Along Etruscan traces”. Dinner matched with “Super Tuscan” wines.

DAY 4:

Today another special day dedicates to the wines and cheese, so you will be captured from the enchanting landscape of Val d’Orcia, Pienza (famous for the pecorino cheese) and Montepulciano with its very outstanding wineries. Return to the hotel. In the late afternoon our friends are taken on a comprehensive visit of Baracchi’s vineyards and winery. It includes a guided walk through the vineyards, and an in-depth explanation of wine making from the vineyard to the bottle. Evening at leisure and dinner on your own.

DAY 5:

Together to the open market to discover local ingredients and specialties. Shopping at the market. Lunch al-fresco enjoying traditional food: porchetta and fresh vegetables we have just bought. 3rd lesson: ”The Joy of Home Life”. The meal is accompanied by a selection of wines, paired with the meal preparations. Dinner, and issue of the cooking certificates.

DAY 6:

Breakfast and departure by Private Transfer, Pickup at the Relais at 10:00 am, Drop-off: Florence Hotel 11:00 am. Florence 4**** star Hotel, 2 Nights, 1 classic room (Twin) with Daily Breakfast, all VAT taxes included in the price. Afternoon half day private tour of Florence (approx. 3 hrs); 2 passengers with English speaking certified guide.

Day 7:

Breakfast, Day at leisure. Suggested tours optional.

Day 8:

Breakfast at 7:00 am, End of Services.

General Information:

The Tuscan Relais cooking classes are hands-on, with lessons concentrating on the successive stages of a meal and will be leading chef-owner of the one Michelin starred Tuscan Relais and by owner and professional sommelier. Together they will teach the history and traditional Tuscan techniques of cooking. Program subject to modification according to the season and by personal request. Programs are available from a minimum of 2 to 12 people all year.
